Jamie Melville

Jamie Melville is a Managing Director and the Head of Merchant Australia. He leads the firm’s national strategy and partners with founder-led firms to build scalable operating models, strengthen adviser capability, and embed the governance and operating rhythm required for long-term, sustainable growth.

Jamie aligns Merchant’s Australian platform with the firm’s broader cross-border ecosystem and supports partner firms on succession planning, regulatory change, and rising operational complexity.

Before joining Merchant, Jamie spent more than 20 years at Macquarie Group, most recently as Head of the Virtual Adviser Network at Macquarie Wealth Solutions, where he led strategy, platform development and adviser engagement across a national network. He brings deep experience in adviser-network leadership, practice management and technology-enabled advice delivery, with a consistent focus on improving client outcomes and aligning institutional capability with the needs of adviser businesses.
