Tyler Gering

PRINCIPAL

Tyler Gering is a Principal at Merchant, where he focuses on investment analysis and portfolio management across the firm’s partner companies. He works closely with management teams to support the execution of growth initiatives and long-term strategic plans.

Prior to joining Merchant, Tyler spent two years at Morgan Stanley as an Equity Research Associate covering mid-cap banks. In that role, he supported senior analysts with financial modeling, company analysis, and investment recommendations, gaining deep exposure to public markets and the financial services sector.

Earlier in his career, Tyler was a Credit Research Analyst at PGIM Fixed Income, where he covered financial institutions.

Tyler earned a BBA in Finance with a Real Estate Co-Major from the Villanova School of Business and is a CFA charterholder.
